So blogspot allows us to look at which countries are viewing our blog. Looks like we've got some fans all across the globe! USA, Russia, Canada, Australia and many more countries. We've even met some truckers from all over the country and someone from England!

Hayes Valley Holiday Block Party! (Friday, Dec 2nd)

Awesome, we love holiday block parties! Word has it there will be food, drinks, and entertainment from the SF Boys and Girls Chorus and the SF Conservatory of Music. Some Hayes Valley merchants may also be giving out discounts and freebies. Sounds like a night of fun!

We'll be at Hayes Valley Proxy tomorrow night (Friday) Dec 2nd for dinner service.

Proxy: on Octavia and Linden (behind Smitten and Ritual).

Come try (if you haven't already) our specialty smoked brisket and ribs and our homey bowl of all steak chili (no beans) with a square of our sweet corn kernel cornbread. Then wash it down with a German brew at Biergarten (if it doesn't rain).

Need Dinner plans for Thursday and Friday?

If Bayview is a little off the beaten track, we will be in Hayes Valley (at Proxy: cross street Octavia and Linden) in SF right behind Smitten Ice Cream this Thursday and Friday night from 4pm-8pm.  Be prepared to be blown away with our slow smoked BBQ ribs, our specialty beef brisket, pulled pork, and jumbo chicken legs.

We will be closed for Thanksgiving on Thursday (11/24) and Black Friday (11/25) and we'll be open again on Saturday.

The truck will also NOT be at 2nd and Folsom this Friday.

It's November, that means the Holidays are getting closer!

Are you serious? Fall seems like it just came and Petes has already moved on to Christmas Coffee Blends. I got my first Gingerbread Soy Latte this morning before coming in and boy is it goooooooodd! I know we have an espresso machine here, which means I could have just made my own lattes on-the-house, but it's always nice when someone else makes it for you (minus the $4 bucks).

Anyway, it's a beautiful somewhat windy Thursday and just one day closer to the Holidays! Hope you have great weekend plans!

The truck is out and about in SSF / Milbrae / Burlingame area. And just a quick reminder, we will be in the city tomorrow at Off the Grid, 303 2nd Street (cross street Folsom) from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm. If you're downtown, come on by and get your Smokin' Brisket!

Celebrating Halloween?

Who celebrates Halloween these days anyway?

Besides it being my momma's birthday, we are celebrating Halloween here on Monday! We might even be wearing costumes here too, depending if I can get our staff to wear their outfits!

We're giving out candy and a free 16 oz soda** to those in costume! (**with purchase). Best costume will get something special!

Come on by and have some fun on a Monday for a change..

One year old and we're still growing!

Growing pains at one year old? I don't think so.

We're kickin' and screamin' and our family is growing! Well, mostly just screamin' coz it was about 90F in our kitchen yesterday. But good news is we've got more smiley faces (wearing Smokin' tshirts) to greet you when you come by the window and/or truck!

Our truck will be out on the streets at our many many locations, still yet to be decided on times, days and locations. But we're definitely looking at 2nd and Folsom with OtG come early November (Fridays at lunch time!). And we're looking at other cities south of SF, including Brisbane!

We're bringing you our specialty and favorite smoked meats (brisket and pulled pork) on top of fresh buttery artisanal breads and our smoked rib plates! And just for fun, our ribs can come per piece. Sides come separately.

Columbus Day Weekend

We will be closed this Saturday (10/8) and Monday (10/10) for Columbus Day Weekend.
Can you believe it's snowing in Tahoe?

We will however be opened for Sunday's Niner Game (10/9) from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Come by for your game day ribs (and brisket)!

Our very first Off the Grid!

To celebrate our 1 year anniversary, we're launching our Smokin Warehouse Barbecue Mobile Truck with her first day out!

We'll be at this Saturday's OFF THE GRID market with our smoked briskets and ribs!

We'll be OPEN Sunday 9/11/11 at 9:00 AM, with new 49er Specials and Family Combos, including a ONE pounder - Bacon Cheese Burger with double the fries; and crispy fried Buffalo Wings by the dozen.

One of them is Pac Brew Lab's garage. Aug 25th, thursday night, 7:00 pm. We'll be serving our smoked Beef Brisket sandwiches. Wash it down with some of Pac Brew's IPA's and other awesome brews. Did I mention, it was open invite and free beer? Get there early, beer and food does run out!

Smokin' Warehouse Barbecue Mobile

Introducing our new Gastronomic Vehicle! We're excited for our newest adventure - driving a Smokin' truck full of ribs and brisket and hoping not to spill HOT BBQ SOS all over the back while driving up and down the hills of San Francisco.

While we're still in the works of permits and inspections, we're letting everyone know we're coming out of the Bayview and we're taking our Warehouse mobile. Our take-out window is still going to be open and we might even take our truck down to the Peninsula.

It's still a blank canvas for now, all white and with a crazy imagination, we're excited to see what our graphic designer comes up with. We'll keep you posted on our locations (follow us on Twitter) and what our truck will look like.

Not so SECRET items

If you haven't made it to Smokin' Warehouse, we're letting you in on a couple of not-so-secret items - stuff that's not exactly on the menu. Menu items that's just posted on a flyer taped on our window.

Monster aka Smokin' Burger:
It's our 1/2 pounder Bacon Cheddar Cheeseburger topped with slow cooked Pulled Pork, Crispy Onion Rings and BBQ sauce (your choice of mild or spicy); ALL on a toasted bun. PLUS it comes with one side. ($10.50)
Just so you know, it's HUGE, thus the name MONSTER!

Mornin' Chili Dog:
A hotdog dressed up with deep fried hashbrowns, smothered with our Steak Chili, topped with diced onions and shredded cheese. ($3.65)

We're also introducing Salad options and a new side!

Salad:
Crisp green romaine salad with juicy plump tomatoes, sliced red onions and cheese, with your choice of Italian, Ranch or Thousand Island salad dressing. ($5.75)
If you absolutely need some meat with your greens, you could also get your salad with chicken tenders ($7.95)

Mac and Cheese:
Creamy mac and cheese, our favorite, turned up a notch with a little kick - jalapenos! You can now get mac and cheese with your meal or pick up a small ($2.75) or a large side ($4.00). Did I also mention there's bacon in there?

As for Summer drinks, we are still offering our slightly healthier options (instead of soda) - freshly squeezed lemon limeade and our freshly brewed peach black tea. ($2.25)

As for desserts, we're still tinkering on some ideas and recipes - among them, bread pudding!

Come on by to try all our not-so-secret menu items the next time you're here. For a limited time only, get your mac and cheese at 1/2 off with every purchase of a platter, sandwich or burger.

We're LOVING Summer in the City

Summer in the city for us, was kicked off with an awesome 1st of July Celebration!

We had tons of people come by for our Burger / Pulled Pork Special. People were driving down Third and Carroll, doing a double-take on our "construction" signs and free smells from our outside grill AND it was HOT and SMOKY! Fingers crossed, this was a small preview of whats to come for the rest of our summer. If you missed it, we'll probably bring it back with a different menu.

The weekend for some of us continued with a picnic in GGP and spectacular fireworks at the Pier. I must say that they outdid themselves compared to last year's, with the help of a very clear sky at the wharf.

So now that we're back, with a nasty uneven tan, we're showcasing our SUMMER drinks - a sweet Peach Iced Black Tea and a refreshing Lemon Limeade with a touch of Mint. (photos to come). Come ask for a sample, or just take our word and get a whole cup to yourself. It's delicious!

Sneak Peak - "Burger Day / Pulled Pork Sandwich Day"

We're getting ready for Friday's 1st of July Celebration aka "Burger Day / Pulled Pork Sandwich Day". Here's a sneak preview:

It won't actually come on a ceramic plate, it'll be more like a take-out box, and you'll get your choice of potato salad, coleslaw, baked beans with pork, steak chili with onions and cheese or seasoned fries as your side. PLUS a small (16 oz) fountain soda.

We'll also be promoting our refreshing peach black iced tea and perhaps one other summer-only drink, which we're currently concocting in our kitchen. Check back soon! There might be new photos.

Hours Changed and We're Celebrating 4th of July Early

We're changing our hours here at Smokin' Warehouse. The bad news is that we will no longer be serving breakfast. But the good news is, we're starting Lunch earlier!

Our new hours of operation will be:
Mondays - Fridays: 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Saturdays: 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Sundays: CLOSED

Our full coffee bar will still be available throughout the day, serving up lattes and espresso drinks.

We will also be closed Fourth of July weekend - Saturday through Monday (7/2 - 7/4), and we'll be back on Tuesday 7/5.
We apologize for any inconvenience, if any.

On another note, we're doing a celebratory offer for all our customers on July 1st, the Friday before July 4th! It's ONE DAY ONLY, all day. $5.99 + tax for either our Cheeseburger or Pulled Pork Sandwich. (see flyer below)

Our burgers are juicy 1/2 pounders, all Angus beef with cheddar cheese grilled medium (unless specified) and comes with lettuce, tomatoes and onions on a toasted bun. If you haven't had our burgers, they're fantastic! 

Our pulled pork sandwiches are another of our most popular sandwiches. Tender pork slow cooked with our secret rubs, pulled with house BBQ sauce (mild) and topped with tangy coleslaw on a toasted bun.

There's finally some sunshine in our beautiful city and it's heating up in here!

And what's more exciting is all the yummy summertime fruit and wonderful produce grown right here in California. We're coming up with ideas for our summer seasonal menu and we need your help! We're going to take polls on desserts, drinks and maybe sides that will be refreshing and gastronomically yummy... We know everyone likes polls. I just voted for "the Voice" yesterday... And you might see the winner on our seasonal menu. (Suggestions and comments are also welcomed!)

Celebrating 8 months and our very first blog post!

We're excited to start a brand new blog for SWB on our 8 month anniversary!

Just in case you didn't know, we've been here in the industrial Bayview side of foodie city San Francisco, for the last 8 months. 

Some of the favorites: slow cooked tender juicy beef brisket, dry rubbed and smoked pork ribs, a crazy huge MONSTER burger and our "HOT" sauce (and yes we make our sauce from scratch).

We're anticipating a great hot summer, hopefully, with luck on our side. But by the looks of it (looking at the pouring rain outside our take out window), that might not be so soon. In the mean time, we're crafting seasonal items for the summer.

... And we'll keep our fingers crossed and our internet tab at the weather forecast.
